Brookfield Tai Chi is joining the Cadence Wellness Program
The Cadence Integrated Wellness System is a coordinated resilience and performance recovery practice serving veterans, first responders, high-stress professionals, athletes, and individuals dealing with trauma. It brings together complementary practices to support whole-person health, resilience, and well-being. Tai Chi will be integrated into the program as a foundational movement practice that helps develop a sense of calm with breathing exercises and mindful attention while increasing body awareness, balance and coordination.
Within the Cadence framework, Tai Chi will support the progression from Rhythm to Capacity to Agency (RCA Method*). Its slow, intentional movements provide an accessible way to practice regulation and awareness, while gradually developing physical and mental capacity.
By integrating Tai Chi with other wellness practices, the Cadence approach emphasizes consistent practice, recovery, resilience, and greater self-awareness—helping individuals develop practical skills they can use in everyday activities and challenging situations.
Cadence Wellness was founded by Jason Culbreth, MS, LPC, NCC. Jason is a retired Navy combat veteran and firefighter who spent years in environments that demanded everything from the nervous system and offered very little structure for what came after. His experiences led him to pursue a clear, structured, trauma-informed pathway from dysregulation to full function using a body-first approach—regulating the nervous system, building capacity, and restoring clarity and control through EMDR, recovery work, and performance-based integration.
Cadence Wellness is located at 42 Beaver Brook Road in Danbury, CT
