On July 19 we took a trip to visit the Buddhist monastery in the Hamlet of Carmel, NY.  It was a picture perfect day, sunny and not too hot. The monastery boasts the 2nd largest free standing Buddha in the world.  It was quite a sight to see.  The grounds are absolutely beautiful and a sense of serenity surrounds the entire complex.  Thank you to all of you who came and made it a very nice outing.  However, when we all arrived and visited the Free standing Buddha, we wandered the property going separate ways so not everyone is in the pics.  My apologies.  Here are some of the pics from our trip.
