Tai Chi Quan for Beginners – 30 form Tai Chi Short set taught in 3 sessions

*** Here’s a unique opportunity to learn the entire Tai Chi Quan short form in three short 8-week sessions ***

In addition, first time registrants for this course can also attend class at the Brookfield Tai Chi studio, 1 class/week for free in-between the Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions at Parks & Rec.

Those who attend all three sessions will receive a Brookfield Tai Chi T-shirt for free!

 

Here’s the course description:

Tai Chi Quan – is a fist system (Chinese boxing) that blends softness with energetic movement in accordance with the theory of yin and yang energies. It is suitable for everyone regardless of age, gender, and even physical condition. The major benefits being overall fitness and health and ultimately increasing longevity. In older practitioners it is said to return the vigor of youth.

This class will focus on balance, leg strength and core strength.  The Tai Chi Quan 30 form set will be the focus of these sessions.

Here’s the schedule:

Beginners 1 (Fall session) – Forms 1-10
Day: Monday      Date: 10/21 – 12/8 (8-weeks)
Beginners 2 (Winter session) – Forms 11-19
Day: Monday      Date: 1/27 – 3/24 (8-weeks)
Beginners 3 (Spring 2025 session) – Forms 20-30
Day: Monday      Date: 4/7 – 6/9 (8-weeks)
Time: 6:30—8:00pm  Fee:  $136 per session
