This summer in the studio we are looking at the Tai Chi Ruler system of exercises during the qigong portion of the class.  It’s a gentle but powerful series of Chinese yoga developed over 1,000 years ago.  It follows the theory and principles of Tai Chi Quan using yogic instead of Buddhist breathing techniques. World Tai Chi & Qigong Day Celebration!!

This Saturday, April 30, is World Tai Chi & Qigong day where at 10am all practitioners throughout the world assemble in their associated locations and practice to celebrate the ancient healing arts of Tai Chi and Qigong.  To honor this event, Brookfield Tai Chi will take part in this worldwide celebration Saturday at the studio.

Parks and Rec Tai Chi class starts this Friday at 6:30pm

Don’t forget to register for the new Parks and Rec class!   Tai Chi Quan class starts Friday, 1/28 at 6:30pm and runs for 6 weeks.  This class will introduce basic stretching and focus on Tai Chi theory and form.  Suitable for beginners. The class is being held in the Center Elementary School gym in Brookfield.

New beginner classes now available!

Brookfield Tai Chi is now offering the traditional Yang style 24 form or short form in the Monday and Wednesday morning classes.  It’s probably the most recognizable form as its the style that most people practice outside in the parks all around the world. The class is suitable for all levels especially beginners. Click here

New Parks and Rec classes

I’m happy to announce 2 new classes this winter for Brookfield Parks and Rec.  Both of the classes are being held in the Center Elementary School gym at 8 Obtuse hill Rd (Rt 133) in Brookfield. I like this venue for several reasons.  First of all I feel safe.  Its well lit and the gym

Brookfield Tai Chi is now offering all classes in-person and remotely via Zoom.
